I offer individual and couples therapy services as a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). 

I offer a range of psychoeducation services including workshops, facilitation, consultation, and public speaking. 

Individual & Couples Therapy

If you are seeking individual or couples therapy, I strive to provide you with safe, competent, evidence-based services. 

If you are looking for client-centered, non-directive, relational therapy that will help you explore all areas of your life, my services might be a good fit for you! 

I offer 50 minute virtual therapy sessions via a secure platform.

session fees

My fee for individual counselling sessions is $169.50 (including HST) per session unless otherwise discussed (i.e. previously offered sliding-scale and grandparented fee).

My fee for couples counselling sessions is $226 (including HST) per session. 

Availability

Weekdays (some evenings included), either weekly or bi-weekly.

Length of Therapy

The number of sessions we will have together depends on what your needs are. I mainly offer long-term therapeutic services since my aim is to build a meaningful and impactful professional relationship with you. Anywhere from 12-24 sessions is typical, but you can terminate at any time. 

I offer services to individuals and couples who reside in Ontario. Some exceptions may apply (e.g. In British Columbia psychotherapy is unregulated) so please contact me if you live in another province and still would like to work together.

Psychoeducation

I will develop workshops that provide educational tools, techniques, and resources based on the needs of your organization. 

Workshop topics include (but are not limited to):
  • Anti-oppressive mental health care
  • Trauma-informed practices 
  • BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ support
  • Women's sexual and reproductive health care 
  • Sexuality, pleasure, and intimacy 

I create collaborative workshops offered in academic (university/ college), non-profit, and business settings. If your organization falls outside of these categories, I can tailor workshops to your specific needs.

Fees depend on the needs of your organization and the logistics of what consulting or workshop services you’d like me to provide. Depending on the structure, scale, and resources required (research, collaboration with other colleagues or health professionals), prices may vary. 

Typically, my regular fee for workshops and consulting work is $150 CAD+ HST per hour of work.

Consultation

I can create a presentation based on the needs of your organization or workplace centered on topics related to my clinical experience or academic background. 

I provide public speaking, consulting, and presentations on mental health issues and psychotherapeutic practice.

My regular session fee for individual adults (18+) is $125 CAD+ HST, but I offer reduced fees and pro-bono services based on individual financial need. 

Payment by E-Transfer to mira@samarapsychotherapy.com 

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they are covered by insurance. Fees can be paid before or directly after each session.
